is the perfect field trip for schools, religious groups, scouts, special
needs groups, child care groups, parents groups and other organizations
looking for an creative way to enhance academic curriculum with hands-on
learning in a fun environment.
Pricing
Admission for groups of 15 or more is $8.00 per student (excluding local
tax, where applicable). Just $5.50 for teachers and chaperones.
Educational
Activities
We offer a variety of educational activities in one setting. Our uniquely
designed exhibit areas provide educational opportunities in the fields
of science, art, transportation, music, technology, creative play, cultural
diversity, and history. Each planned activity lasts approximately 20 minutes.
Structured
Programs
We offer a variety of structured programs, designed to complement school
curriculum or group interests. Programs are designed to fit the age level
and specific interests of your group.
What
You Can Expect
A typical
field trip visit is 2 1/2 to 3 hours. This allows time for planned activities,
free time in the museum, and time for lunch or a snack. Groups may bring
in brown bag lunches to eat in their reserved lunchroom. Or, they may
eat in the full service cafe.
Upon arrival, you are greeted by a trained IMAGINE THAT!!! staff member,
who escorts your group to an assigned private room. The schedule of activities
for the day and museum rules are reviewed with the entire group. Our trained
staff members provide everything needed to complete an exciting visit.
Child-to-Chaperone
Ratio
Each group should pre-plan for chaperones. Chaperones should be assigned
in a 4-1 child-to-chaperone ratio. Groups cannot begin exploring IMAGINE
THAT!!! until chaperones are assigned. Tip: Arrange this prior to arriving
at IMAGINE THAT!!! You'll have more time to explore.
